A “Dessert Theatre.”
On Saturday, March 22nd, Friedberg Moravain will host “Moravians Unlocking the Gospel” . We think Rev. Robert Wolfe needs to stay in jail, so the music ministries of Friedberg are going to raise money to make sure he does. (Robert is one of the ministers to the Forsyth County jail and the Cherry Street prison. He needs to stay in jail and spread the gospel and minister to the needy.) This fundraiser will go to help support his ministry.
The senior choir, Steel Praisin, Praise Band and the Cherry Street Prison Choir will provide the musical entertainment. Band players form other Moravian churches in the province will join together for the band prelude at 5:30 pm.
At 6:00 pm we will gather in the Friedberg’s Family Life Center to sample over 25 cakes and pies, drink some lovefeast coffee and enjoy fellowship as we have a professional auctioneer manage the bidding. Along with the desserts, we will also auction a quilt donated by the Prayers and Squares, two foundation stones from the old sanctuary, seats at Mrs. Evva Hanes’ dinner table, and a framed print.
There will be two desserts of each kind. One we will cut for you to sample, and the other one will be auctioned. Some of the cake flavors are: orange dreamsicle, red velvet, carrot, honey apple, Italian cream, fresh coconut, hummingbird cake, chocolate pound and cheesecake.
Please spread the word to your friends within your congregation as well as other churches. We want to fill the Family Life Center
