Summer Camp 2013

We at Union Cross are excited and gearing up for this year’s summer camp line up. We have planned a very busy, fun, exciting and traditional summer camp experience to offer your child! We believe in keeping the child engaged in what ever we do. So, to enrich your child’s summer camp experience we have a new theme each week. The crafts, field trips  snacks, games and play will all enhance the weekly theme experience.

Each week this summer we will be park hopping around the triad! In addition to exploring cool new playscapes in different locals, we will go on several scavenger hunts to help the children get out in nature and really explore the world that surrounds them. We will also be going to the library each week to help keep up with the reading that most teachers require the children to do over the summer.

Each day we have a schedule that will include plenty of time for fun, free play and innovation. The following is a snip-it of some of the fun things we have planned: archery, paddleboats, fishing, smore making, golf, volcanic eruptions, picnics, water fun, face painting, jewelry making, Mentos geysers, working with wood and as many art mediums we can get our hands on and much, much, much more. For those of you that came to spring break you know that you will be so tired from all the fun we have had all day that at the end of each day we will have some chill down and relax time (some even fall asleep.. .amazing, I know).

So, how can your child get in on some of this fun? In this packet there is a Summer 2013 Registration Form. Fill out the form completely and return ASAP with the one time registration fee and deposits for the weeks your child will attend. Folks from the community have been stopping in to get information for summer and we want you to have first dibs. We will open up registration to the community on May 6th. We do have a limit to the amount of children we can care for each day. So, if you plan on utilizing the daily program it is wise to sign up and put your deposit to reserve your child’s space on the weeks you plan on sending them to summer camp. This deposit will go straight toward the daily rate on the day your child attends so you have nothing to lose.
